![]() ![]() I've quickly skimmed the user manual for your VT-4 and there doesn't seem to be any mention of sending midi to it over USB - in fact, it appears the USB is solely for power or for functioning as an audio interface to send audio out to a computer. And then super bonus would be if I don't have to either (1) make the VT-4 the terminal usb audio interface or (2) dedicate a whole controller to vocoding, at least for live performance looking for a quickish switch between sending not info to VT-4, but then switching to regular Ableton instrument? Is is possible to do that at the Track level and not a settings level?.Everything's showing up in Ableton and Windows Device Manager, I just can't figure out how to get my controllers to send info to the VT-4, and then how that gets back. Then the Roland VT-4, now on that I started with an analog mic in, then took a line out to my M-Audio air 192, THEN took that signal into USB and into the laptop.I have a Casio CPD-135 piano and a Novation Launchkey 25 for controllers, both USB connected to a USB hub, then to Windows 10 laptop into Ableton Live 10 Intro.I'm trying to send note info to my Roland VT-4 to vocode into Ableton with pitch-affected vocoding as, would it be an Audio track In? Not MIDI by then, right?.(Also I don't know if this is allowed here, but if the answer is complicated enough to warrant it, DM me and I'm happy to Venmo you for a Zoom sesh for a concierge solution, and we can record process, or otherwise preserve answer for community posterity in a response to this post or somewhere so other analog drummer dummies like me can just find it and sing like fucking melodic robots already.)
